Metro Super Wide shelving units are 30″ (762 mm) or 36″ (914 mm) deep. As a result, they are deeper than our standard sizes, and allow larger products to be stored and transported.
Because of the larger depth, Metro Super Wide shelving units allow you to have one stable system. Otherwise, you would have to purchase two 18″ (457 mm) units back-to-back. Therefore, you save money on posts and assembly.
Super Wide shelves range in size from 30″ x 36″ (762 x 914 mm) to 36″ x 72″ (914 x 1,829 mm). Finishes come in Brite (polished zinc), chrome, Metroseal 3 (epoxy coating with Microban® antimicrobial product protection to inhibit mold and bacteria growth), Type 304 stainless steel, and epoxy-coated white, black, or other designer colors.
Super Wide shelves use the original Super Erecta posts, allowing for a dynamic storage system. Top Track and qwikTRAK systems are compatible with this product.
Each Super Wide shelf has an evenly-distributed weight capacity of between 600-800 lbs (272-363 kg), depending on shelf length. A stationary Super Wide shelving unit will hold up to 2,000 lbs (907 kg), while a mobile unit will hold between 600-900 lbs (272-408 kg), depending on caster choice.
